How does the technology work?

Our proprietary proximity ligation technology combines dual antibody specificity and amplification chemistry to detect even rare cell-cell interactions at molecular resolution. When combined with cell type markers, the result is a complete functional profile of receptor-ligand interactions – the main target for a majority of pharmaceuticals.

Interactions

Cell-cell interactions are detected through proprietary PLA technology. Two oligo-conjugated antibodies bind to a receptor-ligand pair. When cells interact, these antibodies trigger the formation of a detection molecule amplified using Moleculent chemistry. This makes cell communication visible—revealing cellular function at the molecular level.

Cell type markers

Protein specific antibodies define cell types using our detection technology, creating a spatial map of the cellular landscape. This provides essential context for understanding which specific cell populations are involved in each interaction.

Functional profiles

Discover the conversations happening in your samples

This data creates functional profiles that reveal what’s actually happening in your tissue sample. Is there active antigen presentation driving immune response? Or is it a cold tumor with minimal immune engagement? By mapping which cells are communicating, the functional state of the tumor microenvironment can be characterized—moving beyond cell counts to understand biological function.

From protein presence to functional proof
